Fortunately the driver has tweeted that she is 'fine'. Testament to today's build quality.
Spinal injuries by all accounts mate but she's awake and talking. 17 FFS! Lucky girl indeed mate. Clipped some debris perhaps?I wonder what caused the car to lift off like that. She was probably very lucky the car was going backwards into that building.WOW.
Tony.
ps. You're sig. is so apt in this case, it was what she arrived in that saved her.
Certainly came in on full chat that's for sure.I'd say brake failure.
Most likely wheel to wheel contact. That is the most dangerous aspect of open wheel racing, a spinning rubber tyre touching another spinning rubber tyre has tremendous effect and often picks a car up and turns it over. Happened to Martin Brundle in the Aussie GP many years ago.Spinal injuries by all accounts mate but she's awake and talking. 17 FFS! Lucky girl indeed mate. Clipped some debris perhaps?
Could have been so much worse. Lucky all round.
Nah she was only going to 30 mphCertainly came in on full chat that's for sure.
That just gets worse the more you look at it! Took off like a bloody exocet. Imagine that 20 or so years ago, it would be a massive fireball with multiple deaths I'd say.More on this from MSN.
