Eddie passed his MOT today, but he's had the same advisory on the exhaust for the past 8yrs :wideyed:.

There is a crack at the exit of the centre box located at the top of the pipe, which makes it impossible to weld in situ.

I wondered if anyone had chopped out the centre box and replaced with a straight pipe either welded in or using connectors / clamps. Where could I find the pipe / fittings required? Would there be a significant increase in noise with the centre box missing?

Thought about cat back systems, but I like the noise it makes when the flap valve opens up at 2500rpm, plus the rest of the system is still in good nick.

IF the flange fittings at the front are useable it would be that hard to drop the whole system then take it to be welded maybe?

Tony.

Not sure what condition they are in Tony, I shall take a look next time I'm under there.

Not adverse to having a go as I have a mig welder, but may be an issue to remove as it's still in one piece. May be better to find a local company that are willing to have s go.
