A tall order I know but I'm after a full stainless or standard system from downpipes back including the cat. Been pricing a new stainless up and there just to expensive for me with being off work. My car is a 1998 2.8 M52TU. I'm away from next weekend so want to get it sorted when I get back. Thanks all.

I can get you a quote for a front half system where you could re-use your back box Dave.

Tony.

Just a thought Dave,i remember watching wheeler dealers a while ago, they had a TVR that had a high emissions problem, they used Vortex exhausts which works by effectively sucking out the burnt gasses, similar principles of a dyson vacuum cleaner, how ever i don't know how much it may cost.

Yeah go for your life tony. Would your place be able to fit it and put the existing back box on then test it at the same time? You can test it cos you will do it properly and test the oil temp :D

Had a quote at mr tyre today for a 'cat back ' exhaust £330 but they also do away with the middle box,so that's a fair bit cheaper than your mate on .net told you Dave, this is not including a new cat though and if you keep your back box it'l be a bit less.I want to get mine done now but got to tax it this month :(

Thanks Steven. I need the cat that's the reason for the swap over. Bet a stainless cat will be £200 plus. T-Tony is getting a quote for me so I'll have to way up the options. Pretty sure Tony will come in cheaper and he says he can use my existing back box.

Have you had a look at the quote yet @t-tony? When you change a pipe what happens with the lambda sensor? Is they used from the old pipe?? Do you still have the pictures I sent you to match up cos as you know the original one supplied was wrong?
Cheers mate
Dave

Will try and get it sorted on Monday mate. Have to sort our Gary's VW T4 he was relayed home by the AA from Blyth services last night. Cracked water outlet on cyl. head on a 97 van, bit like the things happening on old Z's. Can you PM me those pictures please. Should be able to re use old O2 sensor provided it comes out of the old pipe ok.

Tony.

Have you thought about going to a local fabricator and seeing if they can do something. Could even be a way of offering a deal if you can get enough members who want one
