I have only just learnt that my z3 2.8 Tu has a valved exhaust

That was a pleasant surprise added to my evening!

However, as many seem to find, mine seems to be stuck open

I was wondering

How fixable is this kind of issue?
because I would really like to keep it standard

What rpm does the valve open?

Thanks Chris

Unless you replace all the rubber hoses which are likely to be toast it’s just another source of potential vacuum leak/running issues. It plugs directly into the back of inlet manifold. I’d delete it 😀. You will need the small rubber blanking bung for the manifold

Yeah, you raise a good point

The hoses are most certainly toast, and that is only the few I can see on the engine side

Thanks

When we smoke tested @rmoconnor41 m52tu at the ZedShed last year it was the one place it was leaking from.
