Exhaust replacement

hi all
I was pondering replacing the rear box on my 1997 2.8 z3 I'd like to enhance the engine sound not ruin it does anyone know of a supplier that doesn't cost the earth but also isn't cheap and nasty

Find a local Long Life or Powerflow centre, they'll build something to match what your after in stainless steel. When I had the (loud) exhaust on my 2.2i he took it back 3 times to adjust it to get it how I wanted it. Usually comes with a decent guarantee as well.

I had a cat back done on my 2.8 locally a quick online search will let you know whats around where you are.
Cost can vary as with most things but service can too.
The right garage will be able to tailor to your needs , look and sound so it should fit the bill

I have a magnaflow, looks and sounds amazing. Not over the top though.

Coincidently, I have my 1.9 booked in for a new powerflow back box to be fitted tomorrow. Have opted for a double tail pipe and "no increase in noise" - but they did say it might sound "deeper". Quoted price was £195 plus £20 for the double pipe plus vat. Stainless steel with a lifetime warranty, not cheap but I am a believer in you generally get what you pay for.
