Trip out to the peaks today, no Motorways so Blyth, Worksop, Chesterfield, Matlock the outward journey turning off before Matlock over the top towards Darley then branching off to Rowsley. One of my favourite roads then on to picturesque Chatsworth for a relaxing cruise enjoying the scenery, always one idiot in a Ibiza decided to do a 3 car overtake before the cattle grid, why who knows? Off towards Castleton gave the village a miss but had a great view of in excess of 30 motorised hand gliders showing social distancing in a different way. Then off to Derwent dam and on to the Snake pass. Looking forward to a run on my favourite stretch of road being the Strines, well into our stride came across the dreaded road closed sign diverting us down towards Low Bradgate probably the busiest place we had seen all day. Shame the journey home wasn't as enjoyable as the rest of the day. Roadworks every ware, good to see things getting back to normal on the roads, Not.
