Got bored today so thought i would have a drive of the evo triangle, despite the weather nice roads.

I had to google it to find out where it was

Thought it was going to be some sort of Bermuda Triangle for Z3 and Z4’s. Looked on Google Earth and couldn’t see any breakers yards so might give it a go sometime

Nice. I had the pleasure of spending a week near there last summer. I actually got lost in that area and discovered some fantastic roads just north of the triangle that were wonderfully free of traffic and average speed cameras.

The triangle is great I just wish they hadn’t put up average speed cameras 👍🏼

Yes, and the locals have put up some unofficial 40 signs just off the A5 which creates some doubt.

I'm guessing the Ponderosa is still closed ?

Had friends who regularly drove the Triangle, before they introduced the average speed cameras - went once many years ago, but really too far for me to get to.

At least this time of year the roads were quiet

I’m close enough that I can be in Wales in less than 30 minutes, and regularly do a loop from Liverpool to Barmouth and back, or Liverpool to Rhayader to Elan Valley, Devils Bridge, Ffestiniog, Betws-y-Coed and back.

I actually prefer winter hoons as it keeps the cyclists/motorcyclists/garage queens off the roads.

Cleaning the car afterwards can be a chore though

Yes did this some years ago as my son attended Aberystwyth Uni. On the way back I stayed overnight at a nice B and B in Rhayader so drove around the Evo. No speed cameras and 40s then
