This was on the central reservation outside Morrissons on Triton Rd. Lincoln on Friday afternoon.

I had a piece like that bounce up on the highway, hit the hood (bonnet?) and luckily bounced over the car. If it had hit the windshield it would have hit directly in my face.

I think it was the racing driver Massa who was hit by a piece of spring on the track. He bounced back.

It was the complete coil spring which hit him, good job he had a helmet on. Wonder what might have happened it it had hit one of the “Halo” things. Could’ve gone anywhere.

I was driving behind a wagon load of timber once on the motorway. As I over took and drew level it shed it's load in an explosion of wood. Always grateful I wasn't in the line of fire for that.

Shirl and I were going over the big bridge into Tampa one time following a pick towing a trailer. The trailer had no tail gate at all and a set of step ladders had bounced along to the rear and it fell out in front of us on the roadway. Luckily for us it bounced up and over our car and hit one behind us.
