New Forest 26th April 2020

Yes its back. The New Forest run for 2020.

Having a limited choice of good roads away from the tourists and avoiding Lyndhurst traffic means the route will be similar to last years. Starting at the same place, Ower Services at the bottom of the A36 just up from the M27. The route will take us through the forest and then a break at the car park near to Brockenhurst. We will then head onto the car park at Lepe Country Park.

Please note that you will have to pay for the parking at the Country Park.

The run will be the same as last years in respect that we will not be running groups. It was easy to follow a route on satnav and also a pdf will be put on here when the route has been run and checked.

Yes this is the date. It’s not changing as it’s between school holidays and other events taking place in the New Forest.

Hi mate I'm sitting on the fence for now, as I plan to have my wheels refurbed in April ready for the new zedding season.
So she may be on axle stands for a while.
Hopefully they will be done by then, but edging my bets just in case they are not.

So I am definitely a maybe.

Keeping an eye on the current news regarding The Virus and guidelines about mass gatherings.

My thoughts at present is that we still go ahead with the New Forest run. I will look close to the date and make a decision on if we go ahead. I will ask that if you are feeling unwell that you do not attend.

Please respect that this might be called off and be out of my hands.

Roads are relatively quiet in the New Forest at the moment; can't see any problem with a car run, just keep your distance and all will be well.

UPDATE 20th March 2020.

Sorry to say that as the latest 'Social Distancing' guidelines take effect that the New Forest run has now been cancelled. It may be run later in the year depending on how the guidelines are at the time.
