Hello All
I'm new to the forum but not to Z ownership. I've ha the Mcoupe for, blimey, nearly 5 years now. Blimey, I hadn't realised I'd owned the car for so long.
I previously owned V reg a 2.8 soft top, in Oxford Green back in 2004. The car was 4 years old and had circa. 20k on the clock, oh and it needed a water pump doing . . . . standard stuff eh? The Z3 got moved on reasonably quickly to make way for less exotic but slightly more practical machinery.
Track forward to 2014 and following the birth of our first born I had swapped my E91 touring with the wife's Mini Cooper S convertible, from a practicality point of view. Now, I'm a bulky 6'1'' and that Mini whilst fun was not the most practical car. After a lot of Man Maths I decided that trading one impractical car for another was on a par and the hunt for something was on.
I stumbled across an auction for the Mcoupe, it was part of an executor sale and was being put through auction. A few nervous minutes bidding and I won the car - Nice!!
Anyway, the thing had been living under a tarp at a garage for a while and was in desperate need of some attention. Queue the A-Team music, not really, I called my local Indy and booked it in for a full check over Inspection 2 and full fluid change. I replaced a few other items at the same time.
Over the last few years I've replaced the tyres, suspension, Vanos and various other bits that make the car go and stop better. Next up is the paint work.
Anyway that's me. Loved the Z3 for ages and have a soft spot for a Z1, although I think that horse has bolted for me as the prices have gone mental.
I look forward to joining in on the chats and what not.
Chris
