Engineer advice please

A set of left hand drill bits would probably brought the bolts out as they were drilling them anyway.

I doubt it Brian, I had them glowing orange with a decent grip and couldn't turn them, I managed 4 out of ten
 
The one where it was drilled off centre is still probably retrievable Sean. If they can get the stud out the hole can be filled and re machined.

Thats not the concern mate, its trying to drill it with a hole already off centre as the drill is going to get drawn into the existing hole
 
Push come the shove they can cut it out from the side then rebuild the metal and re machine.

A proper engineering company will be able to do it with no problem. There are many ways of correcting the miss drilled hole from plugging with another piece of titanium, using an hardened steel Steel guide for the drill or an end mill, spark erosion . How deep have they drilled it, Can it be drilled from the other side? It is difficult to make an assessment without actually seeing the item!

Yep, those who 'can can' are worth their weight in gold.
Mind you, I haven't heard 'can can' for ages. Used to go to Malaysia a lot on business. If you got into a cab where the driver didn't speak great English, when you told them where you wanted to go, they just said 'Can can' and roared off. Still here to tell the tale though...
 
Blimey, that takes me back. Bad Manners. If I remember rightly Buster Bloodvessel ended up running a b&b in Margate. How the mighty have fallen....
