Engine management light issue

not related but just curious, i have fitted a new cam sensor, and the code has disappeared, i did briefly have intake air sensor code throw up, but that was my fault, i forgot to plug in the sensor on the airbox... so that code stayed there...

i have cleared all the codes and nothing shows up... the mil light disappears on my reader, but when i re read the flag for the mil light comes back on but theres no stored code for it...,, it seems.. theres a mil light but no code... why is this...?

Is it a stored code or a pending code?

no codes on there Tony... they all cleared, but the mil light on the software is still active... i can manually reset the Mil light on the software but it comes back on yet shows no code...

mine looks like this the check engine symbol goes out, but comes back on... i know theres codes on this picture as its a picture off internet... mine is clear of codes, but the check light stays active...

Check engine light on in the software and no codes present may be a software fault, try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes then reconnecting and see if that makes a difference to what the software is showing. Do you actually have a Check Engine Light on the dash can't remember if you have or not on your year.

no check emgine light on my model of z3 Col....

Have you got another diagnostic system yet INPA, I know you were going to invest in it?
If not I could pop up Wednesday morning and try my systems on it to see if it shows activated on my kit.

no not got the inpa yet... been busy with Xmas presents and other stuff for the moment... the car not going to be used much in the next few weeks anyway.... no rush Col... next time i down i pop in and perhaps you can connect it up...
