Engine and gearbox removal?

As above, everything disconnected. But can’t work out what to do with the rod above the gearbox shifter. I’ve seen pictures on here with engine and gearbox’s removed but with said rod and gear lever still in place.

Any pointers please, was going great guns until this hurdle!

The problem is I can’t see how you push the clip up? it can’t go upwards at the transmission tunnel is in the way.

So with the propshaft removed you need to flip item 3 upwards. I normally do this with a flat blade screw driver. It will be tough to lift due to the tab on the side of it.

Ok was trying to do it with prop in, had seen a picture on here with it only detached at the gearbox.
Never take short cuts I guess. Thanks

You can do it in situe but its a nightmare. Come in with the flat blade 90* to the box and hook it under that tab and pull down, you will feel strong resistance till its clicks loudly open.

Thanks for the advice might try a thinner blade screwdriver too. I’ll let you know tomorrow evening if I’ve succeeded
