You would have thought that the Vulcan would have been falling out of the sky trying to stick to the speed of the Lancs.......!
Yeah, know what you mean. Tornado is the same, undercarriage down and at a ridiculous angle just to stay airborne at that speed!
I remember seeing this a few years ago do a low slow fly past at Middle Wallop.. Then all hell let loose as she banked and went full power climb... The only louder one I have seen was two F 1-11's at crowd height straight over a speed.. So much so the loud speakers were swaying with the wash of the engines.
