Noticed that the air pump on my Z is no longer held in place except by the hoses. Also it does seem to be little noisey when operating.

Has anyone removed it completely I see there is a blanking plate that can be purchased. Is there anything else required besides the fixing of the blanking plate?

When it stops raining I will take a closer look at how the air pump is supposed to be retained in position

Usually held on by a bracket, depends what model you have here is a link to oem parts site showing a 1.9, put your Vin Number in and look under the Engine section to see where yours is fitted and how its fitted.
@t-tony on here makes blanking plates, PM him for details.

When I had a quick look before the heavens opened it's sitting on a bracket but the fixings that hold it down are missing - need a closer look

Looking at the parts diagram for the 1.9 its nuts that probably fit on studs on the pump housing plus a rubber bobbin to cushion it on the bracket.
