have a 2001 2.5i with a strange electrical issue. The vehicle will unlock with the remote key fob and light up the dash when I insert the key, but when I turn the key, the vehicle has acts as if it has no electrical power at all.
When I try to jump it, the vehicle will start and immedaitly shut off after a few seconds of idle. The battery was tested and is in good health. I also checked all the fuses and all are fine. This all happened after driving in the rain, leaving it parked for a few hours, and trying to jump back in and drive it home.
Seems to me there might be a bad ground somewhere, so when the vehicle puts electrical load through the system it shorts out. Anybody have any reccomendations of where to start?
Ideally I don't have to take it a shop but that seems like the only option currently.
