If you need motors or a seat mechanism I have a couple lying around.

Just wanted to post that I've been watching all of the videos and reading the blogs about the seat motor freezing up because mine did. I almost ordered a new motor online until I found a salvaged Z3 about an hour from me and was getting ready to head out when I read one last forum where a guy used a hammer. Thought it was a joke at first but had to try it... grabbed my hammer and a rag to soften the blows and tapped all around the front motor... viola! the damn thing started working again!! Who said that a hammer doesn't work on electrical.

Electric motors need to be used otherwise they can develope ""dead spots", a tap with a hammer just shocks them into working again.

I'd say once you free it up move it all the way back and forth a few times and then try do that semi regularly to prevent them from happening, I have seen it a lot on motors of the passenger side seat or window that get used rarely
