After weeks of forum browsing and online shopping I finally purchased one of these for my 98 2.8 Z.
Big mistake.
Does ECIS still exist by the way?
This product cannot have been for our Z cars. The heat shield was a shoddy fit. The elbow seemed to be not angled down enough to get the filter close to the air inlet from the grill but worst of all there was no way to fit the support bracket without having the filter either hit the hood or be hard up against the heat shield.
The silicone coupler repeatedly slipped off the MAF and this morning when I got to work the filter and tube were sitting in the heat shield.
I read a lot of good things about ECIS intakes but all old posts. Could not find their company on the web so purchased through another supplier who has subsequently removed the Z3 version from their web site........
I am actually not sure it is a real new ECIS product, a knock off or just very old stock where the silicone has deteriorated.
So wasted 300 bucks or so. Just warning you guys...
And I really wanted a JC / Eurosport intake but they are not to be found. Stock box back on.
