This is my biggest worry with aftermarket components, and the reason i went with the stick on mirrors.

Update: the mirror came in today and I noticed that the mirror is convex with a laser cut extending on the vertical on the outside 1/4 section. My original mirror was completely flat with no score mark at all. I was worried. The shape was the same though just has a curve in the glass :nailbiting:

I used a hot hairdryer to remove the broken glass which was glued on the plastic base. Boy was that stuff sticky. Then I used some contact adhesive in addition to the 4 strips of tape included on the mirror, put it between soft rags and them place two large Biology books on top [I knew those books would come in handy one day]. Then I snapped them back into position on the door mirror - this is the hardest part by getting all 4 tabs to take hold. I didn't do it properly last time and that is why I had this problem!

Special thanks to @Ashbandicoot for posting me the mirror.
