Opening/closing roof all seems ok until bootlid refuses to drop in one motion of switch. Release the switch and press a second time, bootlid completes cycle. After scan, received fault code and message above. Just wondering can anyone interpret fault and pinpoint problematic sensor/switch as I realise there are a number throughout at various locations. I was going to change the salmon relays but not sure if relevant to this particular issue. OBD scan tools are excellent, but only if you understand what they reveal lol.

For the boot closing. Right hand side of the boot on the ram that locks the boot down is one Hall Sensor, another is under the plastic cover for the lock point of the inner boot shell, also right hand side I think.

At first, have a look at the picture in this thread:

And then keep you informed about how to attach this hall sensor:

Some of these hall sensors tend to corrode by water. Then they are not completely dead, but send a wrong signal to the CTM. Mostly that is an indication of additional water in the trunk below(!) the hydraulic pump.

Would like to thank all replies thus far. Really good info with links. Interesting Robbiz4 regarding water corrosion. Not exactly sure if relevant but I did need to replace right rear light cluster due to LED failure which I understand can be caused by ingress of water. Is it possible to "clean up" sensor if corroded?

Yes, the LED issue was sourced by a broken light cluster and water.

Broken hall sensors get rusty inside and will not work anymore as intended.
