Just bought my first Z4…. E89 23i, and had a spirited 120 drive home to the NE of England! Very happy with it 😃 One thing on my “to do” list is to keep a look out for some different alloys and was wondering whether all, or only some, Z4 (or even Z3, or even other BMW model) alloys fit the E89? I’m not up to speed on the offset or PCD yet so thought I’d save myself a load of research and ask here 😃

This is a solid reference to the standard Z wheels to get you started. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find the E89 styles, click on them and they'll also give you the sizes etc.

I'm no expert on wheels but a problem with the e89 is the front offset being 29, so unless you are buying new after market where the correct offset shouldn't be an issue you may well be stuck with the few uninspiring e89 OEM options. You can go comfortably to 35 on the front I believe but not too much more or they will be sticking out, so if you can find BMW wheels at a suitable width etc you should be OK with OS of 35.

Excellent. Not only do I now know what I have (style 290!!) but what I want to try and source (pretty much anything but 299’s 🤣). Really useful 👍

Which style wheels does it have on it? I have some style 296 which will be for sale after the new year.

I've got E89 wheels on my silver Zed. Front wheels fit wheel arches lovely in my opinion but had to put 20mm spacers on the rear for same effect.

Style 276 if my memory serves me right

I’ve got 290 and would be very interested in 296’s 😃 I’m in no rush so I’d be grateful if you drop me a line when you’re ready 👍
