Hey guys, I recently purchased an 04 BMW Z4. Great car, 80k miles. I notice that 99% of the time, the passenger door won't unlock. When I press the key, nothing. Same thing with the inside unlock by the shifter. I hear something activating but not sure if that's coming from the driver door or passenger door. Any ideas?

Hi,
yes, I got an Idea.
I write it on friday, I have to translate it in english, and I do it on my laptop with google, that‘s help me.

Greetings
Michael
Sounds good bro. I definitely need help. I'm used to the Trans Am/Camaro forums, as well as the Charger forums, with more prompt replies and more involvement. There are common issues with those cars that everyone knows the fix for, and it seems like this is a common problem with these cars as well, but people seem to have no idea how to help. It's odd. I expected a much more active and helpful community.

You seem upset. I was simply saying in general there aren't any "for-sures" like there are in the communities I'm accustomed to, and the community is smaller here. There are literally important sections of the forums that have 3-4 posts a day. It's just odd. I was hoping to have a very good idea of the issue before I go ripping into the car. I'll go check out your response right now, and I appreciate all of the help. I wasn't attempting to offend anyone.

No offence taken Frankie, I wasn't sure that you knew you had duplicated the post is all. I hope you get to the bottom of the problem. . The reason you've had little response perhaps reflects the fact that not many have had this problem? Either way good luck and please keep us posted.

In the original post I immediately put "Duplicated post -- please delete" -- but you chose to respond within it anyway and I just continued to further the conversation as you were attempting to help. From my readings, this has been a very common problems in E85's.

My knob doesn't pop up or down on mine when I unlock it -- it stays down. Would that make a difference?
Yes it would make a diffetence.
