Absolutely brilliant, classic Attenborough
Fantastic filming, the end section really gives an incite as to what the crew had to endure. That fella who had a bee sting right near his left eye must have been in some pain. Also to think they took two years on and off to complete the shoot, dedication. Dave Attenborough's narration is just superb. I remember as a kid watching him on black & white TV filming in Indonesia the Komodo Dragons, been my hero ever since.
Really looking forward to the next 3 episodes and have to say I was so pleased when they dug a path for the trapped Penguins, was also great to see the emotion of the crew
Just brilliant TV and it is Reality TV too, I just hope that the TV crew do not start interfering with nature as it appears in the news this week. They are there to record the natural wild world at it's best or worst, it is what it is.
A point in question. In todays paper, pictures of a Lioness attacking the Lion who has just killed and eaten her 3 cubs, moments later she mates with him, that is nature at work.

Its human nature to intervene mate, by saving the penguins they didn't effect any other animals, I would be p***** had they saved prey from preditor but that would never happen
I haven't watched tonight's episode mate so I can't say. In general I agree with you, it's just sometimes we (humans) forget that it is a Dog eat Dog world out there.

The same thing happened at Monkey World down in Dorset Brian. They let the chimps have as natural life as possible which sadly sometimes ends in this type of behaviour. They are after all our closest relatives.
