Hi all, due to the brilliant reaction from a lot of you .org members, I would like to make this official.

Weekend 22/23 September 2012

This will be your lodgings.....in the UK they are called 'The Greasy Spoon' but not over here, here we love our truck drivers and they get the best......

As far as the ferry goes, got a reply this afternoon...
There are 3 bands
1. 20+ Rally rate - only way I can see us achieving this is if we have single manned cars and people double up in the rooms
2. Between 9-19 and
3. Below 9

They've asked me the likely size of the group, I've said probably "2" and asked for a rate.
I'll let everyone know their response as soon as I get it.

You never know, might meet some family you never new you had (Titan was a Spitfire pilot, got shot down a lot)

Not sure what brand of dandelion you've been on tonight Mike but I'll be coming in somebody's car and may even have the owner with me :x

I haven't even looked at the ferry bit yet,
and where to go from
Thats the only thing stopping me being a definite

I dont mind driving to meet up before ferry crossing

Mike put me down as a possible. Need to check with work as i would of only been back of our hols about 5 weeks. Also need to sweet talk the missus :ympray:

Ray, the North Sea Ferry goes overnight (as already mentioned) so a nice leisurely drive up to Hull would mean we’re all travelling over together and cruising to Mike as a group. Check in at Hull closes as 7pm for an 8:30pm sailing to Rotterdam.

Alternatively there may be some that want to take a ferry from darn sarf but that means we might not make the numbers for a discount on NSF and it reduces the time we’re together as a group.

Whatever works for people though, I’m sure we’ll have a great time.

And what’s this doubting of overnight sailing Gill – I thought you would want the top bunk

I personally I don't mind travelling for the ferry so we all end up in the same place. Cost wise will probably end up the same by off setting any saving on the cruise with extra fuel.

That said, it would be great if we can all get on the same crossing! \m/

Although it would be nice driving through france to rotterdam
'not a lot of fun being the driver'
The distance from france to rotterdam is the same to hull
I would prefer to drive to hull
We could even stay overnight up north, not long enough to pick an accent
A guided tour of the area would different 'will learn the lyrics to when the boat comes in'
What are peoples plans just the weekend or longer?
