Recently I re located back to the land down under(Australia) from Europe and shipped my beloved Z3M roadster as well. Prior to shipping no instrument panel warnings whatsoever and had been driving around Europe for almost 3 years. After going through all the hoops and jumps with customs etc finally got the car to the compliance process and it passed with flying colours. So excited to get my Z back after nearly 3 months, I drove it away from the service centre and within the first 5 minutes there was a shudder coming from the front end and the DSC light came on and was flashing. I slowed up and the light stayed on but was steady and by the time I drove back to the service centre the Tyre pressure indicator also came on. So long story short it was towards the end of the working day and the mechanic had left so was not able to help out with a solution but told to have it checked out by a BMW approved service centre. Started my car back up and it had cleared. Once I started driving both lights came back on. I have no idea what has brought this on but it clears each time I re start the car and then comes back on. The tyre pressures are all equal. I have read about the sensors under the passenger seat. Any ideas and advice please..

Yes you are probably right however the car had to go through a compliance check for roadworthy and that involved the mechanic taking it for a short drive as well. To be honest it didn’t bother me those lights coming on as I did not feel any difference in performance or braking. I drove it over 200 miles and the car performed well. It’s more annoying that these lights come on and there are so many fixes for it. I haven’t had it checked out for fault codes but that will be next.

Checking for any stored fault codes ought to be the first port of call really.

Correct, I will. I want to buy a code reader but not sure which one to get. Any recommendations?
