Hi All once again - time to seek expertise please?
Thoroughly enjoying using the 1.9 we have , but so far only managed to rack up perhaps a 150 miles of more. The Issue this time is again with the Drivers Seat - this time having used it for a couple of adjustments today when changing drivers it then decided to 'die'. Neither up/down, or back/forward! (the previous problem was that it had jammed too far forward, and just needed a gentle motor 'thump' to free it up. Now the position is maybe mid-way and nothing works! )

Might I ask from the Group for any suggestions as to whether this might sound like a Fuse, or perhaps some other problem that folks know may be common???

Over to you folks,
Regards, Richard (ps; Went to a local car show at Swaffham, Norfolk today, and found a lovely 2.8 there with an elderly Owner (even old than me I reckon!!)

I would check all the electrical connections under the seat, but, make sure the ignition is off and the key is in your pocket before unbolting the seat from the floor.

Before you start thinking of removing the seat, try a few old-fashioned tricks:

Bump up and down on the seat a few times, give it your best heavy thumps.

The switch's internal contacts are probably dirty after all these years; so move the switch up and down, forwards and backwards, quite a few times, and very quickly, to attempt to clean the internal contacts. Then push the switch in each direction as hard as you can (without physically breaking it off!), this has worked for me in the past.

Update! Tried as suggested, but so far no luck, Before I get to try to take the seat out and explore the wiring underneath, could I just first ask is there possibly a 'known' Fuse which could cause the dead circuitry?
Lovely day today so went over the see a Bike Show in Wimbotcham, West Norfolk, but had to let my wife drive as it's just too cramped at the moment for me to do so safely, darn it! Richard

Thanks VanDallen, I have managed to sort out the issue, but will certainly keep a note of that Fuse you mention as if the seat goes wrong again that could well be a problem to check out first!. Enjoy your motoring, Richard
