I have no idea how much a drive shaft should cost!

These seem too cheap really though considering you can pay a fair bit of that for a CV boot kit....

Any good?

@Lee has a source for drive shafts we’ve been using for replacements, not sure if these though. I’m sure he’ll be along at some stage…

Yeah we tried all the suppliers and they all sent incorrect drive shafts. We’ve been working with one of the suppliers on eBay and think we might of nailed it. I have a pair in the shed but yet to fit them due to delays on Daves car.

Thanks Lee. So chances are that the ones that I linked above may not be correct. Real OEM suggests that the part was used on quite a few BMs so it shouldn't really be an obscure part. Sounds like I should hold off ordering for the moment though.

Oops - just checked again and that's not so. The drive shaft for my car is unique to the Z3 so that Ebay item that says it also fits various 3 series must be incorrect.

Cheap Chinese driveshafts; they snap like a carrot. I saw one of these on an X5 and it swapped just inside the CV boot.

Buy a good used one or fit a proper quality CV joint.
