When cleaning around the inner door areas I caught the cloth under the edge of the above and it pulled up the first couple of inches leaving a crease in the aluminium. If I can remove I am sure I can remove the cresse. Thought I had read about removing them but cannot find. Anyone removed one please and can offer advice. Thanks.

They're likely attached with double sided tape, 3M, or similar. To get the kick plate off I would heat it with a heat gun to soften the adhesive, then go under with a wide flat bladed tool like a putty knife to ease it of the sill. But gently does it or you may need new ones.

Tony.

You can remove the whole side trim, but as Tony says, the aluminium strip is stuck on with some form of double sided tape.

Brilliant. Thanks Andy.
Hi mate, job done though not perfect as one end was a tad bent. That said, easy enough job. Pulled up the strip with a scraper with some kitchen towel underneath so as not to scratch the plastic. Scraped all residue that would come off and wiped both sides down with white spirits. Placed the strip in a towel and GENTLY taped to get as much of the crease out as possible. Applied the double sided foam adhesive tape and pressed hone. Not perfect but better than it was and now it's stuck down I won't slice my finger open on the raised bit again!!

You say you have a replacement ready? Show us a picture of the underside while I get a picture of the tools you'll need.
