Hi
I have taken the sill chrome plates off to clean them up. I have tried various tapes to try and stick them on (Not entirely flat) but have found nothing will hold them back on. Anyone done this if so any tape recommendations?

I even tried the tape that you stick the letters on with on the back of the car but sticks for a few hours then lift. The only option I can see at the moment is no glue and clamping the buggers in place until it dries :)

Have you tried double sided carpet tape. Warm the sill with a hot air gun before fitting.

Tony.

I'll give that a go but the other 3m tape and warmed them up wouldn't stick it. Lets see what the carpet tape does!

Thing with carpet tape is that it is very thin so the two parts can't move as much.
It works in joinery very well.
