Here is how I fixed the notorious broken Z3 door handle. I fabricated a steel "foot" from 22 gauge steel sheet and epoxied it in place with JB weld.
Took a bit of test fitting and adjusting but turned out nicely. Very solid and sturdy.
I roughed up the plastic with sandpaper and put a few dimples with a Dremel before gluing
to give it more "tooth"
