Door Card Clip Foam

I just wanted to check before ordering some....

I have heard that the door card clips have a little bit of foam on them to stop them from ratting

The genuine clips I am looking at buying don't have the foam

Do you think the foam off of the original clips will be saveable?

Are aftermarket door clips alright? 100pcs for £9 seems like they will be made of cheese!

I have no foam on my clips, neither on the new ones (aftermarket) nor on the old ones. I used aftermarket clips for years and absolutely nothing rattled so far. They break much easier when removing the door card while the original ones can be reused very often, that's the only (negligible) downside in my opinion.

Good to know about the foam.

I think I would rather the genuine ones based on your account. They are the same price you just get much fewer, I don't really need 100 !
