The Doncaster show for 2015 returned to its original venue at the Doncaster School for the deaf, after a brief 1 year foray to the neighbouring racecourse.
The switch back worked, with a very enjoyable somewhat carnival atmosphere to the whole show. On top of a fantastic varied selection of old and new vehicles on display. We had live music throughout the day from two very talented young ladies forming a ABBA tribute group along with a lively Rocker Billy band.
Plenty of Catering units, trade stands and stalls of interest, to top it all adequate toilet facilities, now that is a first!
Zroadter.org and Zroadster.net forums joined forces with the BMWCC to produce a very varied and impressive display of cars. On the day we had 10 Z3'S 3 Z4'S and a very popular car on the day Andy Stevensons Z1. Amongst the other 11 BMW's we had two Alpina's, once again lots of interest in these two, along with the 4 M3's a 328 Snitzer and two absolute cracking E30's from the two Steve's. The variation of cars on show were further added to with Howards 635, Andy's compact and a rare site at one of our shows Wills X3 3.0D.
The Z crews were shaken early doors by some unexpected rain, but after the initial down paw it was sunshine all the way. Some great banter and also much Z experiences and knowledge swap took place
A great day for the exhibitors, visitors and traders. A big well done to the Rotory club of Doncaster St.George and the Classic car club of Doncaster for organising such a wonderful event.
Already looking forward to doing it again next year.
