Ours are called your car, my car and the sports car.
Of course when I say your car it will be her car and my car will also be her car if she is talking to me, but if she isn't and we are talking to one of our children then we call them your mums car or my car, but the Z will alsways be the sports car.

We have always nicknamed our cars after their colour.

Mora was a 'Mora Red' 2 litre Individual Z3 - now sold to 'Jackjabba' (Carl & Michelle):)

Monty was a 'Montego Blue' 2 litre M/// Sport Z4 - exchanged for,,,,....

...Alpie is an 'Alpine White' 2.8 litre M/// Sport Z4 which we are looking forward to taking to as many cruises as possible with what we have left of the 'Top Down' weather this year. :coolsteer)

Had no choice as soon as I saw my current Z3 on the Autotrader website... Registration plate started RO51, so was calling it Rosie before I even went to the garage to look at her :D

Is your car a guy or a gal and does it have a name?
I think mine's name will be the BARON.
I've given it several different names at several different times, usually named after inanimate objects, almost always while working on it, and none that would be appropriate to mention here on this forum. Frankie

My 97 is Trinity. So named because without her asking me to buy a project for us to work on and cruise in I wouldn't have it!! The 98 naturally had to be. Named TOO! Don't have it over here in Canada yet so haven't checked under the tail to see if it's male or female!! JIM

I guess I should have added that Trinity is my 11 yr old granddaughter and she, after seeing a z3 and then a z4 came to me about the project. She was not quite 9 at the time and wanted the project to be either a z3, cause the z4 was too bulky, or a Ford F150! So not finding one to fit my budget in NA I bought a 97 1.9 Boston green in the UK and exported it to Canada. That was last summer and this year I bought another in the UK thus the TOO handle!! Hope that clears things for you!! JIM

We call our Z 'Bob' cus when we bought it there was a private plate on it PCZ 303. The last three digits referring to Bob. The previous owner's name was Paul Charles so it was perfect for him. This is the only car i've ever named as it just seems to have a personality and i love it
