Does anyone recognise these seats

I've just bought a low mileage Z3, according to the VIN it came with a hard top and heated sports seats. The hardtop and sports seats are missing and the heated seat buttons covered over. What I want to know is does anyone recognise the seats?
I'm pretty sure they are BMW and they have manual adjustment controls. As the car is intended to be another kit I would like to source another set, they come with separate headrests which can be removed and they look much more "period" than the normal Z3 seats.

That’s interesting- the e46 had some nice sport seat options too with an adjustable thigh support which was brilliant.
Prolly out of the coupe rather than the saloon.
Could also be e36 seats.

If those are from the E46 I would check that the airbag system has a bulb in it behind the dash as the seatbelt tensioners are different plugs. Thats why the heated seat buttons are not working too. E46 is a much later loo and connectors.

Better off trying to source some E36 seats to see if they fit.

Agreed could be E36 as well but I bet the 'Vaders' won't fit.

Many thanks, after trolling through eBay I think they are E36 from a four-door as there are no levers to lift the seat to get into the back seats.

They look the same as our E36 convertible seats, but without the levers as stated. I hadn't realised they would fit in a Z3.

I’ve heard that but having handled the seat without a base I would not be relying on the seat to save my head anytime.

Or mine as munchkin aka @hard top posted a pic some where the window frame and boot lid well hopefully saves you crushing your nut.

I have spied a problem with them only a minor one right enough.
There is no guide on the seat for the seatbelt as the belt spool position in the b pillar and not behind the seat like the zed

there are a few advantages to these too, the adjustable head rest and I just looked on ebay - there's loads and cheap too.
