Since I bought the car, the AC did not work so onto diagnosing the issue. I evacuated the AC system, recovered no freon...I have a leak. I recharged the AC system and injected dye during the charging procedure. Used a UV light and found dye dripping down the front and back of the condenser. So I evacuated the system so now I'm ready to replace the condenser.

Removing the condenser. There are 6 10mm screws

Two on the top of the radiator support

4 on the front of the condenser...

Two on the right side

The lower left bolt

The upper left bolt - need to look into the opening

Two 6mm hex bolts which hold the lines.

Then just wiggle the condenser out from the bottom. Then install in reverse. A second set of hands will definitely help hold the condenser in place while you get the screws started. Install the lines and then recharge the AC.

You will be very lucky to get an S50 condensor.

S50 air con is unique to the S50 :wideyed: , but you can modify anything to fit.

This is a job that I will need to do once I get my car back from the builders.

I know this thread is years old but I was just informed I need a condenser. Looked up the part number 64538398181 on RealOem & put it into Rockauto & ordered it. What needs to be modified to use it?
