Hi everyone,
The z3 I bought has needs a disa valve, the previous owner placed a valve cover and didn’t bother fixing it. I was about to order the part and a mechanic at the shop said don’t bother since it’s tapped..... it’s the same.
Is there any logical reason why not to place a new disa valve on the car, or is it just a waste of money?

It’s responsible for opening up the throttle runner length above about 3,000 rpm for extra performance.

So I would say on the face of it then it should be there.

Not quite sure what he means by "it's tapped?"
I can see no why you would not replace it. It is part of the induction system after all.

Tony.
