Went to see No. 1 son in Sheffield on Tuesday and came home in the monster thunderstorm that struck the area and even made the news. We had to negotiate torrential rain leaving Sheffield with rain pouring down the hills. We came home via the Peak District and the storm had obviously passed through as there were lots of leaves and branches in the road, also piles of hailstones. There was a flash flood in Baslow then a much bigger one in Lathkill Dale which we drove through very carefully. So, looking at the Zed in the daylight the flood was deeper than I thought as the leaves got caught in the fog lights.:nailbiting: Still, all clean again now...

I can't say I've ever seen your car so dirty Dave looks like you've ploughed a field with it but with some TLC she's back like a new penny

Can't believe it! We went through Baslow and Lathkill Dale on Tuesday afternoon and it was boiling hot sunshine. What time did it rain? We are only a few miles east of there and we didn't get any.

We left Sheffield about 6:45pm Ken, so probably 7:45pm ... ish:)

Good effort mate, a good clean means you've had a good drive.

No way to treat a zed Dave now is it? New paint and it looked 10 years old. You should be ashamed of yourself! :D

Ha, in our defence m'lord we started with the top down and thought we were heading into a bit of rain:(. Little did we know what we were about to experience. In hindsight perhaps we should have stuck to the more main roads. :DNever mind we all survived. Anyway, it's not new paint anymore=))

This is England, it's hard to avoid rain for long. No doubt the zed is looking pristine again Dave.
