Different flex disc/donut/giubo bolt sizes

Ordered a replacement flex disc from autodoc and what has turned up is the wrong size. Mine has 12mm bolts whereas this one has only 10mm.

Can't see any other discussion on the forum of different size ones being available. Does anyone know the part number for one with the M12 bolts? Or are there even more variations?

Whenever something like this happens, I do a part number search on RealOEM.

You can also check the "fitted to" on there.


I thought they were all the same, but mine is only for M models...

You should search for the one to fit your car, and see what others it is fitted to. Also search the part number that you have been sent an see what it is fitted to - it may not be for a Z3.

Thank you. According to AutoDoc, it's the right one for my car. But it's clearly not. I can return it easily enough.

The one that AutoDoc sent me has a variety of different OE part numbers, none of which match this.

Now I just need to find a good quality one that can be delivered quickly.

I've ordered another one off AutoDoc for now and will keep my fingers crossed they deliver fast. Is real mixed bag in terms of delivery time but price is good and customer service the same in my experience... so far.

FWIW the Meyle HD versions (not just Meyle) are uprated versions of BMW spec products..I’m using their GUIBO and track rod ends…

I’ve heard people not so complementary about normal Meyle products …my experience has only been with their HD versions…
