What about this then - 3 litre diesel conversion available on ebay?
How much?
Tony.
I'd agree with that. Though I have to correct you on it being a saloon. It's a hatchback/semi-SUV - Gran Turismo. And I flippin love it. Fairly rare car that traditional BMW owners couldn't get their heads round. But then apart from Z3s as well I'm not really that much of a BMW fan.Only difference is your car will be a saloon, a diesel will be more raucous in a roadster, especially with the roof down, but as you say silky smooth and oodles of grunt. The gearbox wouldn't get much use.

Oh well a saloon is the same thing, ie, a closed in cabin . Our friends over in Florida had one of those, alongside a JagWaaar for him.I'd agree with that. Yeah I know. Any excuse to mention my car really. The best thing is the amount of cr*p I can get in it.Oh well a saloon is the same thing, ie, a closed in cabin . Our friends over in Florida had one of those, alongside a JagWaaar for him.

I’ve got the 330d estate - outstanding car. Most of the power of the 335d, but without the annoyance of 4wd to spoil the funYeah I know. Any excuse to mention my car really. The best thing is the amount of cr*p I can get in it.
