Our old friend and neighbour Ken passed away a couple of weeks ago after a long hard fight with cancer and old age.
Over the years we've got know his daughter and son-in-law quite well but Ed kept this quiet, he told me yesterday that he had this,

Nice car. One of our neighbours has a Caterham and spends his weekends doing track days and hill climbs

Sorry to hear about your neighbour.
I've seen that a few times when passing through Torksey - thought you knew about it, or I would have mentioned it - at first I thought it might be someone visiting, but then realised he must live there.

Grab a ride if you can, great fun and really old school motoring.

Sorry to hear about your poor old neighbour Tony :(.
A mate had something similar to that with a 2.0ltr ford pinto engine in it. He took me out for a demo and frit me rigid,it was rather nippy. I also followed him in it when I had a motorbike and couldn't safely stay with it in the corners.

Oh yes, the nearest thing to motorcycling but on four wheels. A pal of mine had a similar Lotus 7 look-alike with a lowly Ford Kent 1600cc engine. Once I had a ride in it I had new respect for that engine. That car was so fast, and it went round roundabouts without slowing. Extremely scary as a passenger, but huge fun.

The rage now seems to be putting large capacity (1000cc + ish) bike engines in... Suzuki Hayabusa or 1000cc race bike engines in... Must make for a bonkers drive
