Is it necessary to give people who donate to the MNDA blue stars this clearly shows all forum users who hasn't donated :-? not just who has ! The small line under the user name MNDA Supporter i feel is adequate The charity is a fantastic idea and i will be contributing but i do not need blue stars to prove it [-x as the title of the thread says this is me making a devils advocate point please take it in the spirit it is written
I understand your point perfectly, and the spirit in which it's made! I'll make a couple of quick points and leave you all to discuss it. 1> The rank system doesn't allow the 2 items to be configured individually. It's either on or not. 2> Everyone who donates is given the option to revert back to the McDonalds badge option. So it's not entirely clear who has/hasn't anyway. If the concensus of this thread is that it's an issue, I'll investigate a more subtle solution.
Re-arrange the following: Worms a can of open .... Personally I don't see the need for ranking and would prefer it omitted Quality of posting is more important than quantity It's unlikely that I will have the time or desire to reply to questions that have been asked and answered many times before. That is where the .net knowledge base is invaluable The MDNA acknowledgement is nice and akin to the previous sponsorship and sufficient IMHO Looking forward, what happens in 2013 when the chosen charity may change? If it means I re-inherit my McDonald's status, I'd like fries with it. And make them large. Have a nice day :-h
I'm not bothered either way but would prefer no acknowledgment of donation on every posting. If you want to know who has or has not donated you can see on the sponsorship site itself. I think this is different than the old .net sponsorship tag which was directly forum related if that makes sense ?
Si, I've been having a tinker with the images, and have toned them down by removing the word underneath. So now you get the word Supporter and 5 blue stars. Let me know what you think. Gary
I would prefer to lose the blue stars,"MNDA Supporter" is more than enough.I would also like to see the amount given taken off the Virgin site, just the name and the running total is sufficient. It is not a competition to show who who can give the most, any amount I am sure is most welcome to help in the fight to eradicate this illness. Gaz please take my blue stars off and replace with the McDonalds gold, thank you. 3
McDonalds has been restored... I've had a good look through the admin side of the Virgin Giving site, but can't see any obvious way of removing the donation from being seen... Sorry 3
Is it possible for me to be reinstated to the macdonalds stars, as i dont need recognition for donating, i know i have so thats enough for me. Thanks bill
