Went to pick up a good spare tire the other day for the truck and had to travel across the pinelands wilderness. You might think this word incompatible with New Jersey, but all of the congestion and most of the people live in NORTH Jersey. National Geographic called the New Jersey Pinelands in 1971 "....one of the last true wilderness areas in the United States." This is where I go swimming when I want to be alone, REALLY ALONE. Water is drinkable. The Pineland aquifer is among the purest water in the United States. The water comes from ground fed springs. Here, look out for sugar sand (so you don't get stuck), rattle snakes, and quicksand, which is caused by ground water welling up into sand), also, when you get out of the water, leaches (VERY RARE, only once in 30 years,) A Z cruise here would be a caravan of one...me. Got the pickup here because the tire would never fit in the Z, not that I'd want to put it in the Z.(265/70/16). Frankie alone in the pines.
