Can not decide if i shoud sell the z3 have an itch to try a z4. I love the enjoyment i get from the 3 but i also enjoy the process of getting a car to how i want it , its as much fun of ownership as driving it for me.
The car is now just @97k many have seen it not sure if there is more value as a whole or as a standard car with all the bits to sell on.
Whats your thoughts ?

Think you will regret it if you sell it ;)

Probably more money in selling the bits and changing the bits in the car back to standard and then selling it on.

But it would be nice to see your zed being passed onto someone else on the forum as it is right now as it's in excellent condition with some very tasteful mods.

Agree with Gaz here and also a car as near standard as possible allows a new owner to do "their thing" with it too.

People are more likely to want a standard(ish) car when buying. Make it more saleable by raising the suspension at the least!
I have the stock springs but then due to the rear tyre width and wheel offset it may then stick out.I could replace the wheels and raise it but the rims will not fit a z4 :(

You sure they won't fit? So much more room in Z4 arches than the Z3. Rally is running really wide Ispiri's on his now, can't remember the spec but something like 9j front and 10j on the rear...

Going on a stock 8.5 offset 50 to a 9.5 offset 33 gives 29.7mm more poke im sure there isn't that in the rear arch may be half of it as im sure @t-tony is not far off flush with stock and a 15mm spacer .

Mines no where near sorted Ant but your welcome to take it for a drive. Its certainly different not as engaging but certainly more refined.
I'm still unsure what i am doing but not anticipating selling either till the spring.

Depends on your budget for the actual car Ant @Antm72 Most will say go for the 3.0si but if you can stretch to an M then that could be an option. A Z4 will never look as good as a well sorted Z3 IMHO Not enough curves on the front end

i brought the z3 purely on its body style , its was a z3 or an early TT both are an iconic shape.
Im going to finish all the rear end on the 3 as although no major issues its due a refresh.
Will be looking at the 3.0 and will need to be a manual.
No real rush as i do love the 3 and itsq a very clean example would hate to make the wrong decision.
May be i throw some money at the 3 and refine it alittle further.

My rears are 9.5 with an offset of 35 so you may be right as mine come right to the line of the body work and it is on stock M Sport Suspension
