Just had a new key made by dealer last week. Drove home in A horrible rain storm everything ok. Car has sat for about five days and battery is total dead nowand so low will not even take a charge or start with a battery jumper.
It is a fairly new battery. Only 60,000 miles on it it’s an 2002 Z3 , only driven in summer never seen snow
Any chance the match of the keys did something?

Hi and :welcome: to the forum from me too in Stafford. A stuck seat motor switch will drain the battery very quickly, other culprits are the boot light staying on and aftermarket head units not wired correctly.
