Hi All

Yesterday was a last chance summers day. I did the carpe diem and drove 165miles to the lovely beach of Woolacombe (see pic 1). Having soaked up the sun and splashed in the sea I popped around the corner to Illfracombe for a bite to eat and found this interesting statute...(see pic 2)

Damian Hirst statue called "Verity"
Hirst describes his work as a "modern allegory of truth and justice".

The statue depicts a pregnant woman holding aloft a sword while carrying the scales of justice and standing on a pile of law books. Half of the sculpture shows the internal anatomy of the pregnant woman, with the fetus clearly visible. The stance has been described as a reference to Little Dancer of Fourteen Years by Edgar Degas.

Yeah, thank you Wikipedia... that makes it so much clearer.... o_O

I'm glad the statue has resulted in a similar debate to the one that went through my head when I spotted it! I am now thinking about a challenge/game - to get a pic of my zed with the weirdest background image. Anyone else fancy the challenge?
