So on this past weekend, something new happened in AutoX, During "High-G maneuvers," the dashboard warning chime occasionally sounds. It's the same sound as driving without a seatbelt.

You can hear it happen a few times within this run:

, but it happened during every run at least once and sometimes more (so you can hear it throughout the video). It happened regardless of if there was a passenger in the passenger seat. When there was a passenger, they had the seatbelt on. I always had it on in the driver's seat.

Anyone ever see this before, and have any suggestions as to what I should be looking at to fix it? It does NOT happen driving around town or on the freeway, and has NEVER happened before in AutoX. There are NO warning lights on the dashboard when this is happening (other than the traction control being turned off light being on), and the coolant level is fine and the temp gage is right in the middle.

Did you figure it out? Maybe something in the passenger seat is tricking it into thinking someone is sitting there?

So this only happened DURING my last AutoX at High-G maneuvers, so it isn't something I can replicate on the road.

That said, I did replace the doorjam bushing with that 3-D part on my passenger door, because the existing bushing was in very bad shape and torn, so it totally could have been adding some play into the joint. I left the driver's side bushing alone, since it is in good shape. I have another AutoX this coming weekend, so I will see if the noise went away soon. If you don't hear back, then the problem is gone.

I will also turn set the dome light to turn on when the door is open, instead of it set to constant-off, so I can also SEE if the light goes on if the chime sounds.

Finally, this happened regardless of there being a passenger in the seat, and when there was someone seated, the seatbelt was attached.

But the seat is not a bad idea. Thank you. It was my first thought, actually...
