My 2.2 has the extended leather which has shrunk behnd the dial binnacle and is starting to go on the passenger side too.

My initial thoughts were to try and get this repaired (heated, stretched and reseated), but I worry it will happen agaon eventually and I'm mot wedded to the blue extended leather.

So, I'm thinking of swapping out the entire dash for a standard non-leather black one. I've looked on the site but cant find a how-to anywhere. Does anyone have any pointers or instructions on how easy/difficult this is to do?

Not sure if there's a ' How to guide ' on here for that .
But if you decide you are going to go ahead once you have the new dash drop me a message and i will write you up a set of instructions on how to get the job done.

If you change your dash to black are you going to leave the rest of the blue extended leather as is.
Your blue dash may be repairable depending on how bad it is.

The Bentley's manual has half a page on removing the dashboard. Not very detailed, though.
My black dash will be surplus to requirements in the near future (hopefully). It is in really good nick and I have the passenger airbag and cover. You are welcome to it if you can collect it. It won't be ready for a while, though. IMG_9207.JPG

Thank you both 👍🏻

I think I'll want to do this in the future but probably after the summer so not in any kind of rush. Im thinking I woulg change the dash and centre console but keep the door cards and seats as is for a hal leather interior look. If you have the time for a write up Stevo7682, that would be amazing and probably extremely useful for the forum too.

Pond - I'll take you up on that dash offer as and when you no longer need it. Looks to be just what I'm after 👍🏻

I also have a centre console without the blue bits down the sides. My car had the same interior as yours (minus the extended blue) so my console has blue gear and handbrake gaitors.

Yeah, am not sold on the blue beyond the seats and door cards. I've got a couple of black gear and handbrake gaiters en route to swap out (the original handbrake gaiter is quite cracked too). I would likely also swap out the cetnre console for a simple black sided one too - maybe even replace/wrap the brushed aluminium. Lots to consider.
