How many of these camera's should we fit in our cars, you see if I bought one I would probably put it on the dash to catch any one side swiping me, but knowing my luck I'd get rear ended.:arghh: So spose I'd have to buy two. NO????

Thanks for that Aceman, not sure I would actually buy these camera's, though I'm sure they're an asset if having to make a claim.

Well I got one after somebody drove into me who admitted fault at the scene but decided to lie through his teeth afterwards and said I drove into him. So you only need to be stung once and you will soon be buying one yourself especially when they are less than £40 !

This is the one I have which I like because it fits flush to the windscreen rather than a bulky suction pad although it comes with one of those too. All you will need extra is a micro SD card, 16Gb is plenty big enough which you can pick up for less than a tenner but go for a class 10 one as you are recording a dual HD stream.

Hi Roy, I've got one in my car which slides onto a very small base that you fasten to the screen with a double sides sticky pad. I bought a spare base and power lead so that I can transfer it between both my cars. Also it's fun to sometimes to take out the card just to review some of your trips. If you have it powered through an ignition fed live it automatically starts when you turn on the ignition and off when you switch off.

    Tony.

Cheers Tony, but when it comes to cockpit wiring I take it to the pro's cos mine just ain't up to it, I can never get any thing hidden real nice, still do a bit mechs though under bonnet if need be. Having a go at the scraped bumper at the moment, filled prepared for paint,3 coats primer,2coats cosmos metallic so far, weather not warm enough so waiting to final coat, rub back then try blend in with clear, some hope and no hope, brobably end up at the pro's, wife talked me into having a go, she reacons I can do ANYTHING just cos I'm a good DIYer, ha ha ha, you'd think she'd know better after all these years,I hate "DIY" :banghead:

Totally understand mate, I HATE diy and would rather use my skills to earn money to pay someone else to use theirs. It's what makes the world go round. I know a man who knows a little about everything and boy is he a smart ar$e. May be useful to get an extension lead all the same, I just cut off the plug and used the cable and socket. I posted the fitting of my dash cam on here, look it up, it's quite easy honest.

    Tony.
