We usually take a dash cam with us to Florida, mainly because of the intetest and being able to offer info regarding journeying to and from airport and the villa.
All you need is a spare power lead and screen mount, however recently we find that the power sockets in rentals are "live" all the time which is a pain when using a camera.
With this in mind I made up a switched power connection lead. Using a small inline switch and a power plug and socket.

All good. So when we park up I can simply switch the power off rather than having to unplug the camera.

Tony.

ps. Total cost about £4.50.
