So here I am, hoping that someone else has had the same problem. INPA says fault code 5E21, delved around on the interweb and it seems that it's the sensor nearest the servo on the master cylinder(part no 2)
So, my question is, how the hell do I get in there to change it? Looks pretty tight in there, or does anyone know different?

Just another thought but on a hot day after a long run I get the brake error lights on and had the same code also had a couple of others and its random sometimes what code I get and I have narrowed it down to the module that's at fault and will need to get it fixed at some point as I believe the solder brakes inside, Though as always typical its not done it for a while :angelic: but its just another thing to think about and maybe find a way to check the switch before you buy another ;)

Thanks for all the replies, saw the bimmerforums thread (one of the many I've read) so I'm pretty convinced it'll be the sensor, shame about the price but that's what you get when you run such a high-quality car. Looks like Sopers will be getting a phone-call in the morning. The warning lights started by being intermittent but seem to be permanent now. Ho hum.
